This Privacy Policy describes how READI/STEADI (“READI/STEADI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit readisteadi.com, submit an inquiry through our contact form, or work with us on a project (the “Service”). READI/STEADI is a small film studio based in Jackson, New Jersey.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Name, email address, and phone number (when you submit an inquiry)
  • Project details (date, type of film, budget range, message)
  • Payment information for booked clients (processed by Stripe — we never store full card details)
  • Anything you share with us during a project: footage, names, locations, schedules

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser, and basic device information
  • Pages visited on our site
  • Essential cookies for the contact form

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To reply to your inquiry and discuss your project
  • To plan, capture, and deliver the film you’ve hired us to make
  • To send delivery notifications and revision links
  • To process payments and manage invoices
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information with third-party providers when necessary to operate our business:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Email delivery providers — transactional email
  • Cloud storage — for backup of project files
  • Music licensing partners — for cleared soundtrack licensing on your behalf

We may also share information when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.

4. Footage & Likeness

By engaging us to capture a wedding, event, or commercial project, you grant READI/STEADI a limited license to use selected stills and short clips from your project in our portfolio, social channels, and marketing — unless you tell us otherwise in writing.

If you’d prefer your project remain private, just say so in your inquiry or contract.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • Data is stored on secure servers in the United States.
  • Project files are backed up to encrypted cloud storage.
  • Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
  • We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

  • Inquiries are retained for up to 12 months in case you come back to us.
  • Project files are retained for the duration of the project + 12 months after delivery, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
  • Tax and invoice records are retained as required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may at any time:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data (within legal limits)
  • Ask us to remove your project from our portfolio

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 13. Footage that includes minors is captured only with parental or guardian consent.

9. Cookies

  • We use essential cookies for the contact form and session management.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy with a revised “Last Updated” date.
